The July Bulletin 2014 – PC Dan Carter Reports

9th- It was my first day back today after a lovely few weeks off. I crewed up with PC Rich Harrison to predominantly patrol the town centre. We were looking for a wanted male.

I located a male, on Hackwood Rd, smoking cannabis. The male received a cannabis street warning.


In other news: My new cuffs arrived!


11th- I arrested a female on suspicion of assault in the town centre. The job will be handed over to officers for the morning.

I had managed a patrol of Popley earlier in the day and all was quiet. Marnel park was patrolled and all appeared calm with fairly good parking.

12th- The beat managers for the Basingstoke Safer Neighbourhoods team crewed up tonight. We patrolled the ‘Basingstoke Live’ festival.

I located a female on London Road with cannabis. The female received a cannabis caution.


Later I arrested a male for failing to attend court. The male will now attend court on Monday!

13th- Day two of the ‘Basingstoke Live’ festival. I crewed up with PC Rich Harrison.


I seized a small bladed item from a male entering the festival. The male was given a verbal warning:


Later, I arrested two females in Festival Place on suspicion of fraud. It is alleged that the two females were using fake £20 notes to purchase goods in various stores. The job was handed to CID to investigate.

17th- A busy day today, from searching for a naked guy in the woods to warrant arrest attempts. Many miles cycled in the sun.

Later in the day I arrested a female, in Falkland Road, on suspicion of theft of meat. 🍗

18th- Abandoned vehicle, in the War Memorial Park, reported to the council, via fix my street: report

19th- The PSNP have met and voted on Drugs and ASB, in Abbey Road, again.

23rd- I arrested a male and female in Popley Way today on suspicion of drugs offences. The two were later charged with possession of heroin.

Later, I located a youth with cannabis on Shetland Road. The youth will receive a ‘Youth Community Resolution’ and I will refer him to the ‘Youth Offending Team’ for advice on drugs misuse.

Drugs issues continue in Popley.

25th- I took part in a successful drugs warrant this evening in Brighton Hill.

Later, I mainly attended noisy neighbour disputes, in Marnel Park.

28th- After two dogs attacked another dog in Orkney Close, I served a ‘Dog Behaviour Order’ on the dogs owner. The order has various conditions, and if breached, the dog owner could be prosecuted.

29th- I located a male with cannabis on Norn Hill. I issued the male with a cannabis street caution.

Later, I arrested a male, in Southern Road, on suspicion of breaching his tagging conditions, as ordered by the court.

30th- Another glorious day for patrolling on the bike. I issued 2 x cannabis street cautions in Cranbourne Park. I also issued a £90 penalty notice for possession of cannabis in Popley Way.

31st- I arrested a male, on Alencon Link, on suspicion of harassment.

Later I patrolled Oakridge and Popley. I seized a bottle of whisky from a group of youths. The whisky was poured away.
