PCSO Dan Banks Q&A’s

Posted: November 5, 2012 in PCSO

Q) What is your current profession?
A) I am a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) for Popley. I have just been transferred here after 3 and half years working as a PCSO in Southampton.

Q) How did you get the job?
A) Did some online research as I wanted a career in the police. I chose the route of PCSO’ing as the best way to start and applied.

Q) Describe a typical day for you?
A) One of my favourite things about being a PCSO is that no day is the same. The needs of the community vary from day to day. But after checking my emails and researching the last few days of crime/incidents in the area I normally head out and do any enquiries required, or attend local meetings. From then on I’m free to patrol and engage with the public, providing a visible policing presence in the community.

Q) What’s been your most embarrassing moment?
A) Crashing my police bike into a river and getting very wet.

Q) What is your best quality?
A) I tend to be quite nice.

Q) What is your worst quality?
A) I tend to be quite nice.

Q) What makes you happy?
A) Vintage racing bikes.

Q) If you could go back in time, where would you go?
A) Ming dynasty china and become a shaolin monk.

Q) What would you spend a lottery win on?
A) Buy an island and rename it something funny.
