Getting to know the PSNP (Jane Frankum)

Q) What is your current profession?
A) County and Borough Councillor

Q) How did you get the job?
A) I stood for election and was voted in by the residents of Popley and Norden for County and Popley west for Borough

Q) Describe a typical day for you?
A) There is no typical day I have case work for individuals, campaigns like keeping the number 5 bus service for patients, visitors and workers at the hospital. I also read reports and papers for meetings. I also attend committee meetings and full council meetings too.

Q) What has been your most memorable experience in Popley?
A) There has been so many but the most touching was the wonderful support I received from so many people in and connected with Popley when my dear husband passed away in July.

Q) What’s been your most embarrassing moment?
A) Too embarrassing to tell going red just thinking about them

Q) What is your best quality?
A) I love people and Popley and have the determination to make it the best place to live and bring up our families.

Q) What is your worst quality?
A) I find it hard when you cant get people to understand what a great place and great people live in Popley. We are not perfect but we are a caring community and are always willing to help people when really needed.

Q) What makes you happy?
A) My family and seeing children playing in the park that our family fought so hard for, for 40 years and knowing it is not finished yet and will be even bigger and better.

Q) If you could go back in time, where would you go?
A) I would still want to be here but with all my family here so I could give them a big hug.

Q) What would you spend a lottery win on?
A) The usual.. buy my sons a house each go on a cruise and I would love to give money and help to some good local charities.

Q) Tell us one thing about yourself that nobody else would know?
A) I once won runner up in a Butlins Beauty contest oh so many moons ago!
